The foamcore box contains many materials. One of these, the Sparkfun Geiger Counter, measures the presence of high-energy particles. The BMP180 Pressure Sensor senses temperature with pressure to determine altitude, will also be placed in the box. These will transfer their information to an Arduino Uno micro processor, which provides power and stores all of the data in an SD card. The Arduino Uno transfers its data through a Sparkfun MicroSD Shield. All of the separate components will be connected via wires. Inside of the module there will be a small tube of PVC pipe to ensure the Geiger Counter will not be damaged due to high voltage discharge. To keep the module warm there are many elements that must do their part. First the outer layer of aluminum tape and the inside layer of fiberglass insulation and space blanket must keep the heat within the module. The 1kohm power resistors have the responsibility of heating the module. All of the different parts are powered by six 9V batteries.
